600,000 lbs apprx. Tank tracks, road wheels, sprockets, torsion bars, idler arms and hubs. This is a term contract for 6 months. All scrap under this contract requires Demil/Mutilation as a condition of sale; buyer must submit an End Use Certificate (EUC) and be approved by Trade Security Controls (TSC) before removal. Process and removal of tank tracks will begin no later than 5 days after EUC approval by TSC. Mutilation requirements for tank tracks and road wheels: (A) cut tracks in 4 ft sections and cut every pin on both sides of track track (The buyer must have a facility within a 50 mile radius of the Depot for this method) or (B) you may take the tracks to a smelter. If method A is selected a certifier/verifier will survey 100% of material being demiled/mutilated and ensure that the material is being properly demilitarized. Any residues of material not fully destroyed will require further processing until proper destruction is accomplished; certifier/verifier will determine if residue has been completely destroyed. Once material has been inspected to ensure proper demilitarization, the certifier/verifier will complete and sign the demilitarization certification. If method B is selected and taken to a smelter, the buyer must provide GL a copy of the weight ticket from the smelter. Road wheels must be cut in two sections or torch cut a "V" section out no less than a quarter the size of the wheel. Tracks are made from steel with rubber pads. Road wheels have apprx. 1 inch of rubber around wheel. No culling allowed. Buyer loads. Any property that cannot be demiled/mutilated the same day as removal must be in a secured area. Buyer must provide adequate equipment in good repair for loading. Buyer is responsible for any clean up and removal of any and all environmental spills that may arise from the removal process. Tracks are in rolls and on pallets or in boxes/baskets. Dunnage is included in the weight of sale. The price per pound will be adjusted every month beginning with the first full month after the start of the contract. The price will be adjusted during the second week of the month. The revised price will be determined by taking the price of AMM shredded Auto Scrap Houston on the first Thursday of the month and dividing it by the AMM Shredded Auto Scrap Houston used on the contract start date. The percentage will be applied to the price per pound to arrive at an adjusted price. Demilitarization Required. By bidding, each bidder represents, warrants, and certifies that ALL materials purchased will not be re-used or re-furbished, or sold for re-use or refurbishing. See Surveillance Plan.
