200,000 lbs Approx. Lead scrap, Steel Encased. This is a one (1) year term contract located at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, Bremerton, WA. Consisting of lead ballast weight, Lead brick, lead shot or poured lead encased in steel containers welded to submarine or surface ship HY80/100 or steel HTS hull sections. This material is restricted from shipment outside of the United States, a domestic smelt certificate must be provided to Ft.Lewis office within 90 days of receipt of material at smelt facility. Average size and weight per piece: 8ft. Long X 8ft. Wide x6ft.high and 48,600 pounds, may include some sections up to 11ft. X 20ft. With a maximum weight of 80,000 pounds. May contain rust preventative compounds mil-c-1176a (non-slich), mil- c-15167a (pigmented petroleum ) which has a low flash point; or mil-c-16173 with red lead compound. Lead is to be transported, handled and disposed of in accordance with all local, state, and federal regulations. PSNS will load flat bed truck and lowboy trailer only. You are responsible for rigging, loading, securing and transporting purchased property, including all costs and risks associated with removal. Unless otherwise stated, we will provide a free tailgate loading but will NOT guaranty a specific loading time. In consideration for this 'no cost' loading service, you agree to release, hold us harmless and waive any and all claims, causes of actions, damages (including consequential damages or loss of use) or liabilities of any kind or nature. Transportation conveyances are required to have tarpaulin capabilities. Contractor will provide transportation within 48 hours of notification. By bidding, each bidder represents, warrants, and certifies that ALL materials purchased will not be re-used or re-furbished, or sold for re-use or refurbishing. Buyer must provide Liquidity Services with a Certificate of Destruction on the form specified by Liquidity Services within 30 days of removal. POC. For sale is John Miller. All personnel entering the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard for viewing or picking-up material are required to be United States citizens and obtain, fill out and return an entrance letter and an I-9 form for PSNS from John Miller (253)966-1430 a minimum of 3 days prior to viewing or pickup if not already eligible to gain entrance on your own. A true copy of a person's birth certificate with a raised state seal or valid passport must be presented to the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard pass and ID office.
