850,000 lbs. (approx.) Steel Tank track (wheels, sprockets and steering Arms) with rubber pads both attached and unattached. Period of performance is six months. All scrap under this contract requires Demil as a condition of sale; Buyer must submit an End-Use Certificate and be approved by Trade Security Controls (TSC), before removal. Demil of this property may be accomplished by A - Cutting track into 4 foot sections and cutting each individual pin (Road wheels and sprockets need torch cut in two sections, or torch cut a "V" section out no less than 1/4 the size of wheel or sprocket) on site prior to removal - The buyer must have a facility within a 50 mile radius of the Depot for this method) or B Smelting at a USG/GL Approved Smelter. If the property is on pallets (banded or loose), this weight is included in the sale. Processing and removal of Tank Track will begin no later than five days after EUC approval by TSC. Any residues of material not fully destroyed will require further processing until proper destruction is accomplished; Verifier/Certifier will determine if residue has been destroyed. Once the material has been inspected to ensure proper demilitarization, the certifier and verifier will complete and sign the demilitarization certification. Certified government scale is available. In the event it is not, a certified commercial truck scale may be used. Weight tickets are required to be included with DLA form 1367. Removal and demilitarization of material must be accomplished ---Monday thru Friday ---- from ---0730-1500---. Buyer is responsible for any cleanup and removal of any and all environmental spills that may arise from the downsizing and or removal process. Buyer is responsible for obtaining and providing all required permits to accomplish demilitarization and transportation. If Option B (Smelting) is selected, the smelter must be approved by USG/GL personnel. A transport manifest and Certificate of Destruction is required. Title to the material does not pass to the buyer until the material has been Demiled/Mutilated. Preview and load outs by appointment only. GL will load where available. Customer will need to provide someone that works for the company to be Demil Certified and act as a certifier and witness the demil of the tank track. The certifier will have to be present when all demil work is being done and when the material is being verified. Please see the attached surveillance for a full description of requirements.
