Two Quarter Horses Negotiated Sale
Two Quarter horses from the 1st Cavalry Division, Horse Cavalry Detachment at Ft. Hood, TX are now available through Negotiated Sale. The two horses, Sundance and Joe - have been with the Horse Cavalry Detachment since 1989.
The Horse Cavalry Detachment has performed in events including
3 Presidential Inaugural Parades, the 1996 and 2001 Tournament of
Rose Parade and countless state and local fairs, parades and rodeos.
In addition to parades, the detachment also performs mounted drills and weapons demonstrations highlighting the techniques and skills of late 1800's cavalrymen. Performances by the detachment help maintain the traditions
of the U.S. Cavalry, and their role in building the United States.

Special Terms of Sale: Anyone wanting to screen the horses will be allowed to "view" the horses. However, for safety reasons, they will not be allowed to "test" the horses, touch them in any manner, or enter the fenced in area where the horses are kept. Both horses are "classified" as Quarter horses, not recommended for small children, require experienced rider/handler. Buyer must provide their own halter.
