Nonprofit Gives Parachutes
and People a Second Chance
HEAVENDROPt, a nonprofit social enterprise of Evergreen Life Services, provides second chances to military surplus parachutes while supporting veterans and adults with intellectual and physical disabilities with employment.
Nancy Giles, Director of HEAVENDROPt, told us, “HEAVENDROPt is a startup entrepreneurial business for a nonprofit. We go to Government Liquidation, we find parachutes that are being auctioned and make products out of them.”
Some of those products include pet bandanas, paracord bracelets, eye glass holders and much more- all made out of authentic military surplus parachutes by people with developmental/intellectual disabilities and veterans with disabilities.
By buying authentic military surplus parachutes through online auctions at GovLiquidation.com, HEAVENDROPt has been able to focus on their triple bottom line, People – Planet – Profit.
“You’re really supporting continued employment and jobs for people with disabilities and you’re also giving back and supporting veterans, and without Government Liquidation we could not maintain the authenticity that we need for our brand.” Nancy said.
This is just the beginning for HEAVENDROPt. Sue Buchholtz, President/CEO of Evergreen Life Services said, “HEAVENDROPt, I believe, is the enterprise that is going to endow our future. It is going to bring jobs to thousands across the United States. I have the vision and I see it coming to fruition.”
We can’t wait to see what amazing things Evergreen Life Services and HEAVENDROPt will accomplish in the future.
