Description:350,000 lbs. approx. Mixed Metals, period of performance is for 6 months. Must provide (8) 30/50 yd. dumpsters with water tight covers that meet the Storm Water Pollution Prevention Program aboard the base, which are to be left on site at all times. Building 40, Groton Naval Base requires one dumpster (20/30 yard) and no more than 4ft high with a locking lid. "No deviations from these requirements for the cans will be permitted", (7) to be located at the Naval Sub Base, Groton, CT and 1 at Camp Hartell, Windsor, CT. Scrap may include vehicles and vehicle parts, furniture, a/c units, cabinets, sheet metal, pipes, refrigerators, dryers, washers, some aluminum, brass, copper wire and lead may be included. Must provide extra dumpsters for temporary locations at the Groton Sub Base and other off site locations like Quonset Point and Newport, RI, Westover and Buzzard Bay in Massachusetts, Orange, Manchester, and New Haven in Connecticut, and special pick-ups may be required with a flatbed tractor. Full containers will be removed and switched with an empty one at pick up. Containers are to be removed within 2 days of notification from DOD Surplus representative. The price per pound will be adjusted every month beginning with the first full month after the start of the contract. The price will be adjusted during the second week of the month. The revised price will be determined by taking the price of AMM No. 2 Bundle Pittsburgh on the first Thursday of the month and dividing it into the AMM No. 2 Bundle Pittsburgh used on the contract start date. The percentage will be applied to the price per pound to arrive at an adjusted price. Containers must be weighed in empty and full containers must be weighed out and tickets faxed to the DOD Surplus site manager within 48 hours of pick up. The company is responsible for working in a safe manner. All scrap under this contract requires mutilation by the buyer prior to removal if allowed by the base or mutilation must be witnesses and certified by DOD Surplus personnel at another facility. Title to the material does not pass to the buyer until scrap has been mutilated. Buyer agrees to allow USG personnel to witness destruction. POC: Jack Bennett @ 602-541-3531.

You must make payment in full within 3 business days of the official invoice date unless otherwise stated. The date of the invoice is not counted as the first day for purposes of calculating the payment deadline.
