Lot Details

Description:

100,000 lbs (Approx) White Goods located at bldg 210 Transportation Road, Suite 1, Eglin A.F.B. Florida and, 260 Warehouse Road, Pensacola N.A.S. Florida. This contract is for a 6 month performance period. (GL WILL LOAD MATERIAL) Hand Loading, Culling, & Separation by type or gage of material & components is not permitted on site. No disassembling of scrap before removal. Material may include: household and commercial type refrigerators, freezers, air conditioning units, refrigeration type compressors, dishwashing machines and, household type stoves. Freon gas has been purged/drained from all refrigerant units and, compressors. (Approx scrap weight includes debris and foreign material) The buyer will be responsible for clean up and removal of pallets, debris and, foreign material. All scrap material that is generated from week to week, must be removed within 3 days of notification by D.O.D. Surplus personnel. Local disposal not permitted. Basic equipment required by the buyer is, 30 ft. minimum flatbed trailer (with low sides is a plus) Or an open top conveyance, e.g.; dump trailer, self loader, roll off pan. Government scales are available at Eglin A.F.B. but, on site government certified weight scales are unavailable at Pensacola Naval Base. Buyer is responsible for obtaining tare weight tickets before entering the naval base from a public state certified scale, which is not affiliated with the purchaser of this material. The buyer will then be required to obtain a gross weight ticket from the same scales he obtained the tare weight from immediately after he leaves the naval base. Weight tickets are to be forwarded to the Eglin site office within 48 hours after the date of removal. Mutilation not required. Point of contact: Doc Herniak, asst. Site mgr. (602) 315-5840

IMPORTANT NOTICE: For all Scrap Term Contracts, the Winning bidder is responsible for providing a down payment based on the winning bid price. New winning bidders must deposit 25% of the winning bid. Repeat Winning Bidders must deposit 10% of the winning bid. This deposit will be refunded upon the end of the Term. Down Payment is due within (3) business days of the award of the Term Contract.

The base now requires that all non-DoD affiliated civilians be vetted (Evaluated for possible approval or acceptance) before being allowed to enter Eglin AFB. Please read and follow the Procedures for Access to Eglin Air Force Base, Florida for Civilian Individuals. Also, please submit the Visitor Memorandum for Official Business at least 4 business days prior to the requested date of access.
